The Goal of Language Teaching, According to NFC

(2005) NCF asserts: “In order to introduce any effective programme for teaching languages in schools, it is crucial to acknowledge the innate linguistic ability of children as well as the fact that languages are socially and culturally produced and evolve in our daily interactions. In a perfect world, educational language(s) would build on this resource and work to enhance it through fostering literacy (including Braille) for the acquisition of academic information. Standard sign languages should be offered to kids with language-related disabilities so that they can continue to grow and develop in the best possible ways.
Learners’ confidence in themselves and their cultural roots would increase if their linguistic ability were acknowledged.”
