This is the most advanced degree or scale of measurement. The ratio scale of measuring has all four measurement properties: identity, magnitude, equal intervals, and a minimum value of zero. This scale incorporates the majority of mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
A weight scale would be an example of a ratio scale. Each value on the weight scale has a distinct meaning, weights can be ranked, units on the scale are equal, and the scale has a minimum value of zero.
