Weber (1947) regarded social stratification in three dimensions: economic class, social standing, and political power (party). Each of these aspects has its stratification: the economic, which is symbolized by an individual's wealth and possessions; the social, which is reflected by the status and honour he receives; and the political, which is symbolized by the authority he wields. As per Weber's theory, class is just one component of the social structure, depending on the economic paradigm.
