What is parallel forms Reliability?

Parallel forms reliability is a measure of reliability derived by delivering two versions of an assessment instrument to the same set of persons (both versions must contain items probing the same construct, skill, knowledge base, etc.). The scores from the two versions may then be linked to assess the consistency of findings across different versions.
