How many types of morphemes are there in English?

Three sorts of morphemes exist in English: bound morphemes, which only have meaning when joined to free morphemes, and free morphemes, which are meaningful units that may stand alone.

Bound morphemes come in two varieties: inflexional, which do not alter the word's class like verb ends; and derivational, which alter the word's class, as in home homely.
