Personality Assessment Definition

Personality assessment is a skill in professional psychology that incorporates administering, creating chances, and interpreting scientifically justified initiatives of personality characteristics and patterns in order to: improve behavioral prediction performance in a range of circumstances and environments;refine diagnostic procedures; and Framework and inform psychosocial therapies (e.g., clinical, forensic, organizational, educational).

One can use the strategy used by Dr. Saul Rosenzweig in Andrew’s book, “Methods of Psychology,” to explore various measurement procedures.

He asserts that techniques for examining and evaluating personality fall into the following groups:

• Subjective methods.
• Objective methods.
• Projective methods.
• Psycho-analytical methods.
• Physical Test methods or physiological methods.
